How Exactly Does The Bio-Pilixin ®️ Activation Serum Work?

The mechanism through which our formula promotes hair growth is simple. The main active ingredient, Capilia Longa® aims to support the activity of the dermal papilla cells to rebalance the natural hair growth cycle.

A vast majority of hair loss cases are due to an undesired alteration in the natural hair growth cycle. Several known factors influence hair loss, including genetics, hormones, illness, medications, and lifestyle. Any of these underlying factors may alter hair follicle cycling, resulting in a shorter anagen phase, delayed anagen phase, or hair thinning caused by follicular miniaturization.

While we may not have control over factors like our genetics, clinical research has shown that after 150 days of usage there is an increase in the anagen (growth) phase and a decrease in the telogen (rest) phase of the hair growth cycle.

Is it normal to feel a 'warm' sensation when applying the Bio-Pilixin ®️ Activation Serum?
- Often described as a ‘tingling’ or ‘burning’ sensation, this warm sensation is typically felt upon application of the Bio-Pilixin ®️ Activation Serum and is considered a normal reaction when using the serum. The sensation is attributed to the heating agent HotFlux®, or vanillyl butyl ether, which helps to rejuvenate hair growth by improving blood flow and adequate delivery of nutrients to the hair roots.
  
  The intensity varies depending on the individual, ranging from minimal notability to irritability. Most cases are mild, but in rare instances, redness and tenderness may occur. If experiencing any additional side effects, discontinue use and consult a medical professional. Please report any additional side effects to customer care.
Is the Bio-Pilixin ®️ Activation Serum allergen-free?
- It is important to note that although all products are of natural origin, the serum not allergen-free. Vanillyl butyl ether and eucalyptus oil (limonene) have sensitizing properties, meaning they can evoke allergies for certain individuals. It is highly encouraged to check all ingredients before starting to ensure there are no allergies to any of the listed ingredients.
  
  If unsure, perform a patch test before application. To perform a patch test simply apply a small amount of the product onto a clean area of skin on the upper forearm, following 24 hours rinse the area. If any redness, itching, blistering, or irritation is observed at any time throughout the test, do not use the product.
Why is there alcohol in the Bio-Pilixin® formulation?
- The concern of alcohol in the formulation is understandable. However, the alcohol in the Bio-Pilixin® formulation is essential to enable the correct penetration of the active ingredients. Without alcohol, the actives will remain on the scalp, unable to interact with the hair follicle. In this instance, the alcohol serves as an agent to optimize the scalp environment for actives to work on a deeper level.
Are there any associated side effects?
- Unlike conventional treatments, the Bio-Pilixin® formulations were formulated to promote hair growth without serious side effects. However, few have reported a dry scalp, which may be due to the presence of alcohol in the serum.
What is the scientific evidence?
- A 150-day in vivo study with a cohort of 30 men and women examining the effect of Bio-Pilixin® demonstrated the following:
  - 93.3 % experienced a reduction in hair loss after 150 days with a mean reduction of 52% of hair falling out compared to the first day of the study
  - 70% experienced an increase in hair density with an average increase of slightly over 8%
  - 90% of the cohort demonstrated an average of 20% more hairs in the anagen phase after 150 days and 86% of the cohort demonstrated an average decrease of 40% in the telogen phase at the end of the study

Is the Bio-Pilixin® dermatologically tested?
- - Yes, patch tests were performed under dermatological control on a group of 25 volunteers with normal skin. In the tested group of volunteers there were no irritations or allergic reactions.

How to use the Bio-Pilixin ®️ Activation Serum

Apply 2 pipettes
- 1. Apply a minimum of 2 pipettes of serum directly to the scalp.
  Tilt head slightly back when applying.
  
  Disclaimer: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Discontinue use and contact medical provider if strong irritation occurs for a prolonged period. Keep out of the reach of children.

Gently massage onto the scalp
- Gently massage the serum onto the scalp using fingertips.
  
  Note: Expect a warm sensation from the heating agent.

Settle for at least 6 hours
- Allow to settle for at least 6 hours before rinsing or a shower.
  Settlement on scalp can exceed 48 hours without issue.
