Is it normal to feel a 'warm' sensation when applying the Bio-Pilixin® Activation Serum?
- A ‘tingling’ or ‘burning’ sensation is typically felt upon application of the Bio-Pilixin® Serum, which is considered a normal reaction when using the serum. The sensation is attributed to the heating agent HotFlux®, or vanillyl butyl ether, which helps to rejuvenate hair growth by improving blood flow and adequate delivery of nutrients to the hair roots.
  
  The intensity varies depending on the individual, ranging from minimal notability to irritability. Most cases are mild, but in rare instances, redness and tenderness may occur. If experiencing any additional side effects, discontinue use and consult a medical professional. Please report any additional side effects to customer care.
Are the products allergen-free?
- It is important to note that although all products are of natural origin, they are not allergen-free. Vanillyl butyl ether and eucalyptus oil (limonene) have sensitising properties, meaning they can evoke allergies for certain individuals. It is highly encouraged to check all ingredients before starting to ensure there are no allergies to any of the listed ingredients.
  
  If unsure, perform a patch test before application. To perform a patch test simply apply a small amount of the product onto a clean area of skin on the upper forearm, following 24 hours rinse the area. If any redness, itching, blistering or irritation is observed at any time throughout the test, do not use the product.
Why is there alcohol in the Bio-Pilixin® formulation?
- The concern of alcohol in the formulation is understandable. However, the alcohol in the Bio-Pilixin® formulation is essential to enable the correct penetration of the active ingredients. Without alcohol, the actives will remain on the scalp, unable to interact with the hair follicle. In this instance, the alcohol serves as an agent to optimise the scalp environment for actives to work on a deeper level.
Does the Bio-Pilixin® Activation Serum contain DHT-blockers?
- The Bio-Pilixin® Serum does not contain any known DHT-blockers. Unlike prescription products, Scandinavian Biolabs products are not intended or designed to target hormonal imbalances. Bio-Pilixin® Activation Serum focuses entirely on supporting the integrity of the hair follicle.

Hair Strength Shampoo 250mL
- 1. Rinse hair thoroughly.
  2. Use adequate amount of shampoo; adjust for hair length.
  3. Apply & massage shampoo directly onto scalp and hair.
  Conserve water by turning off faucet during application.
  Note: Expect less lathering from this sulfate-free shampoo.
  4. Thoroughly rinse out all the shampoo.

Hair Recovery Conditioner 250mL
- 1. Rinse hair thoroughly.
  2. Use adequate amount of conditioner; adjust for hair length.
  3. Apply conditioner to hair strands.
  Conserve water by turning off faucet during application.
  4. Allow to settle for at least 2 minutes before rinsing.
