“Why would I commit for 3 months?”
As much as we’d love to give you a full head of hair in just a matter of days, there are certain biological realities that can’t be ignored.
The hair’s natural growth cycle spans years in most cases, and there’s simply no way around that. At least not yet. Even a complex surgical procedure like a hair transplant takes months to produce visible results.
Does that mean you have to wait years to get your hair back?
Far from it. To understand how exactly hair grows, let’s take a brief look at its growth cycle.
The hair growth cycle: the key to a fuller mane
The hair has a natural growth cycle with 4 stages which typically span years.
As you can see below, before shedding — and before the “fresh” hair can start to grow — the “old” hair spends up to 3 months in a dormant state. So it is reasonable to expect noticeable changes in hair growth after a few months with any treatment or product you may use, including Bio-Pilixin®.
And while you can’t eliminate or drastically shorten the dormant phase, you can optimise the hair growth cycle to encourage more growth and less shedding long-term.
Around 90% of hairs are in this phase
Lasts anywhere between 2 to 8 years
Hair begins to separate from follicle
Lasts for about 2 to 3 weeks
Follicle enters a state of dormancy
Can last for up to 3 months
Marks the end of the telogen phase
Growth phase restarts, new hair begins to grow
Secure your hair growth supplies for the next 3 months
Bio-Pilixin® is clinically tested to help balance the growth cycle
To better understand how exactly Bio-Pilixin® helps reduce shedding and promotes growth, our clinical study set out to test these 3 objectives:
-
The number of hairs in the growth and shedding phase
-
The effect of Bio-Pilixin® Serum on hair growth (hair density)
-
The effect of Bio-Pilixin® Serum on the reduction of hair loss
The common link in most hair loss cases
Hair loss can be caused by many factors, including hormonal changes, illness, poor nutrition, and genetics. And while these are all different in nature, there is one common link in most cases:
An imbalanced hair growth cycle.
Normally, about 90% of the hairs are in the growth phase at any given time. When the number of these actively growing hairs reduces and more hairs enter the resting and shedding phases, we start to lose more hair than normal.
This means that any product promising to help reduce hair loss and encourage growth must be able to balance the hair growth cycle. That’s why we set out to measure exactly that in our clinical study on Bio-Pilixin®.
